There have been social media posts comparing current gas prices to two years earlier, during the worst of the COVID pan(dem)ic.

Those are not good comparisons given how bad economic growth was due to the pandemic and how the Trump administration (mis)handled COVID.

The better comparison is pre-COVID, to 2019, when with a booming economy, according to the federal Energy Information Administration …
